In conclusion, obesity and happiness cannot be tied to a single cause. In westernized superpowers, such as the United States and the United Kingdom, there are higher levels of happiness which are probably directly correlated to the more comfortable standards of living. Countries that have become westernized more recently, such as South Korea and Japan, have lower obesity levels as well as lower education and happiness levels. It most likely can be predicted that as these countries become more westernized, the levels education, happiness, and obesity will also rise. The oddball of the research is Switzerland with its low obesity levels, higher education, and high levels of happiness. Perhaps, using Switzerland as an example, there is a need for balance between all factors.
